There's a very interesting place in Angono, Rizal where you can find the Angono Petroglyphs. This is some kind of graphic carvings or writings similar to the Egyptian Hieroglyphs. The Angono Petroglyphs can be found on a rock wall or cave near the Eastridge Golf Club - Angono. In front of the cave is a small museum where you can read the history of the place.
It is one of the only two places where this kind of filipino ancient writings ( or art ) are found.(I think there is another one in Palawan ). I had been to this place when I used to go to Angono to see a realty project . The place is now inside the property of Eastridge Golf Club, beside the golf course. The place is open to the public and I think under the supervision of the government. The developer of the club made a special tunnel ( from the main road) to go to the cave for the public and tourist to use. The only other way to access the cave is thru the golf course but its quite dangerous because the flying golf balls might hit you. Non-members are also not allowed to go to the golf course proper. It's a "must see" place here in Angono , Rizal. See it before the vandals totally deface it. A portion of the cave or rock wall has been carved out and defaced the last time I went there. Angono is only about 30 minutes from Pasig City via the Manggahan Diversion Road.I found this article on Wikipedia about The Angono Petroglyphs :
The Angono Petroglyphs is the oldest known work of art in the Philippines. There are 127 human and animal figures engraved on the rockwall dating back to 3000 BC. These inscriptions clearly show stylized human figures, frogs and lizards along with other designs that may have depicted other interesting figures but erosion may have caused it to become indistinguishable.
