Places and Events : Ati-Atihan Asia's Best Festival and Mardi Gras

The Ati-atihan Festival is on-going now in Kalibo, Aklan, Panay Island. I have been invited so many times by a good friend to go attend the Ati-atihan festival, but until now have not been able to go. I have been to Kalibo thrice already but never on the time of the festival,  these were when I went to Boracay Island, Kalibo being the gateway to Boracay. Definitely Asia's best, wildest festival and Mardi Gras. Ati-atihan Festival is proof that Filipinos know how to party and have a good time. The religious celebration that started this festival has been going on for hundreds of years in the Island of Panay.

    This enjoyable and colorful festival is what makes more fun in the Philippines. I have once visited Kalibo Aklan, and all I can say is that they are the one of the friendliest and most trustworthy people I've met. Very nice photos you've shared. More power to your blog.

      Hi Sir Vic. Indeed, the Ati-tihan is the festival that every Pinoy should attend at least once in their lifetime. They say that it's really wild and fun. And about the people from Kalibo and Aklan you are right, they are the friendliest and nicest people you can meet. In fact some closest friends are from Kalibo. Thanks for your comment.
