INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2012
Lately, the mining issue has been a very contentious one. With people on opposite sides of the issue giving their own argument and rationale. It's a breath of fresh air seeing Ms. Gina Lopez, a scion of the Lopez clan and Managing Director of the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc., taking up the cudgels for the anti-mining advocates.
And seeing Ms. Lopez fighting for an advocacy that will pit her against people in her own "class" (read : the rich - who own these mining companies) is really admirable. A woman who fights for what she believed is right. And right she is, on her anti-mining stance.
May her tribe increase! And two thumbs up for her advocacy on anti-mining!
