People : Private First Class Edel Llamas a Hero

Private First Class Edel Llamas a hero

This post is posthumously dedicated in honor of Private First Class Edel Llamas for his heroism.

Soldiers and teachers are the most unappreciated civil servants in our country despite their great contributions to our society. Compared to other professions they are underpaid but still they are dedicated to their calling. They sacrifice a lot of their family time and personal ambitions because of the responsibilities and requirements of their professions. This is specially true of soldiers who are assigned to places far away from their families.

The citizens of this country enjoy life, peace and order because of these soldiers who are always
guarding the citizenry from the "enemy". But most of us take this for granted. Sad but true. Sometimes these soldiers just fade away unnoticed and unhonored despite their sacrifices.

Here is one soldier, by the name of Private First Class Edel Llamas who sacrificed his life in line of duty. He died fighting and sacrificing his life to save his platoon of 29 soldiers from being massacred in an ambush by the NPA. He died protecting our freedom for us to live peaceful lives. He died a hero.

Let's honor our soldiers, let's honor soldier Edel Llamas, a hero.
